The Remnants Roadshow

The small towns of America have faded away from their former glory, yet in many places there is still a glimmer of that bygone life, there is community and hope in spite of the outward appearance that their main streets and their almost ghosttown-like feel.  And there is still beauty in these places, in the broken parts, the abandoned buildings, the remnants of their former glory.

I am fascinated with these towns, these places, these buildings and am hoping to partner with towns and historic preservation organizations to highlight this beauty and support these small towns in bringing their communities back to life.

Beginning July 15, 2009, I am hoping to begin a 3-month, cross-country photography roadtrip.  At the end of my time in a given area, I will hold a gallery show of the work created.  A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the town in which the photo was taken.
